The Gifts of Being AT HOME

During this extra-ordinary time in our world history, many of us are home. All the time. Have you ever eaten at home this much?! Nor have we. Ever.  There are some things I'm really liking about it. Bill is a talented cook, and I've never appreciated him more for this. Meals are an even bigger deal. We are still working quite a bit, but life itself is much more relaxed. I keep remembering that nothing is URGENT.

Since before Christmas, so many things had to happen, had to be made, shipped, tickets to purchase, planes to catch, booths to set up, product to get produced, more fabric and paint to be bought, shows to apply to, and the list goes on and on. Today, we'll ship what has to be shipped, then make dinner. Decide what to watch tonight. Stay up late if we can, sleep in, way in ~ which I haven't been able to do for about the past , maybe 30 years.

And eating in has become an even more lovely ritual...just about every meal. Whether we're eating casually in the kitchen, in the diningroom, or in the livingroom in front of the telly (I love the way the Brits call it that) and I (almost) always use a placemat and a napkin and the ring, although I usually just use the ring as the coaster unless we're having people over, which isn't happening these days.

I'm noticing the gifts of being at home. What are some of yours?

Because we are placemat-and-napkin-and-napkin ring makers, we'd like to gift you with what we can during this extra-ordinary season of Being At Home.  Please see below and shop or simply notice to your heart's content. We are with you. At Home. Around Your Table. Down the Block. We miss you. And thank you for being in our Community. Love, Carole & Bill
